Joe does it again. If you are a fan you will not be disappointed. This is some of his best work ever. His band is top notch! Check out these tracks.

I think its a solid effort. Some songs are better than others but thats almost always the case." If There Is No Heaven"would be my favorite song, some really good guitar work! If you like Joe you will like the album.
Go see him live if you can. He loves playing out and is a high energy performer.
Be Prepared to Be Bow-shocked Back to the ‘90s and Rocketed Back to the Now

I'm suffused and bathing in the bowshock emanating from Planet Satriani every time I listen to this album. Cumulative of '90s Joe through now, this Major League Guitar recording is a head-to-toe listen, something an album gives every once in a not-so-often while. I cannot be effusive enough. From the pristine technological audio platter we are served this tasty dish of StarWars delight.
Shockwave supernova!

The title certainly lives up to its name. I've been an avid fan of Joe Satriani for 20+ years and this album is up there with his best work. Whimsy, strange, and so beautiful.
Great!

Okay, so I have to admit that I got into Joe from Chickenfoot. But at least I listen to his stuff now right? This is a great album. It's not just super fast impressive guitar playing. It's nice well crafted songs and great melodies.

One of Satriani's best

Wow. So many great tracks on this album. So many tracks, for that matter! This is probably a top 3 Satriani album in my book and that includes his classics from way back.
1. He has gotten his interesting phrasing back. He kept the tasteful phrasing he has always had.
2. Great tone.
3. Great theme.
4. Excellent tribute to Clouds Race Across the Sky. When I saw the track listing for Stars Race Across the Sky, I was beyond pumped.
5. Great band. I think the cast here fits Satriani better than any album he has.

Since the early eighties I've supported him until ..."what if there is no heaven" which I find deeply offensive because he seems to be attacking something he doesn't really understand. Why alienate the fans?
Unique for the reason below!

The shared presence upfront is obvious….and I am referring to the existence of one of the greatest and technically gifted drummers around…namely Marco Minnemann who brings his talents front and center - refusing to be a mere background - as has been the case with other percussionists who have played on past Satriani albums.
It"s thunderous, creative and elevates this newest production by Satriani to the top tier of anything has ever done. Brilliant choice…to have Minnemann on-board.
