Still easily one of my favorite Switchfoot albums. Jon Foreman has and continues to write exceptionally.

Switchfoot really delivered with this album. This is definitely their best.
  • Truly a needle in a haystack

Switchfoot's music is an incredible breath of fresh air from all of today's pop, rap, hip-hop, and other music completely void of meaningful lyrics. Hello Hurricane has some of the best rock that I have ever heard. There is everything from soft to hard rock. Needle and Haystack Life and the title track are absolutely euphoric. I can't understand why Switchfoot isn't more popular. Congratulate yourself on looking for music like this because you, my friend, have just found the needle in today's haystack of music.

See, I love switchfoot's music so much because: they sound AMAZING and have great sounding songs, they are a Christian band but I love how they kind of give you an example of something and let you figure it out instead of directly saying, "Jesus loves me"(which can be great to) or something like that, and they're songs are actually encouraging instead of Linken park where pretty much the guy is only talking about how bad everything is. In conclusion, switchfoot is my all time favorite band because of their awesome sounds, great lyrics, and all the great messages they have in their songs. Great job switchfoot!
  • A little dissapointing

I really like Switchfoot and have been an avid follower since their breakout album "The Beautiful Letdown." I like all of the songs on here, but I don't LOVE them like I have their past albums. Is there a bad song on here? No. Is it worth buying? Yes. Does it sound like their past albums? No. I'm a little dissapointed with this album, but I'd rather the band change their sound than see them fizzle and fade away like so many others before them. So I rate it personally rate it 4 stars, but I gave it a 5 stars because it's still really good, it just doesn't appeal to me as much as their others have.
