Aaron Lewis is either pandering to the lowest common denominator in country music or the lowest common denominator in rock music. I can't take him seriously anymore as a writer. He makes music for morons regardless of genre. It's just a shame that the band hast to suffer because of him. Nothing noteworthy on this album. I think this band was better left in the past

Returning to their nu Metal roots in probably their best album
Aaron sounds more miserable than ever.

But it no longer seems sincere. When he was writing about alienation and heartbreak and depression his early 20s, at least it was age appropriate. Now it’s just sad. You’re a successful middle-aged self-made man. Write about something else besides misery, or hang it up.
Their best album

Lowest in Me, Cycle of Hurting, Confessions of the Fallen, Here and Now, Better Days are all winners. Top to bottom its a great album. After making us wait 11 years it had better of been a banger and it was.
Solid and welcomed return

Staind’s first album in over a decade is a winner. The melodies and riffs work extremely well together. The guitars play mostly in the lower register, which not only makes the riffs feel more heavy and menacing, but also leaves plenty of room for Aaron’s voice to take its rightful place as the star of the show. Standout track “Here and Now” is a classic slice of Staind heaven. I’m surprised how under-the-radar this album flew among fans of Staind, Aaron Lewis’s country projects, and modern hard rock in general. Don’t sleep on Confessions of the Fallen.
Great Album

This album is just what is needed. It has hardness and it has significance. Thank you Staind for adding another album to the list.
