Raw rock containing arguably the bands greatest song in Working Man. 5 stars for that alone!! This is Rush back when few knew they existed. Powerful work which would lead to the further epic 2112. A must own for newer fans who only listened to their polished highly overproduced yet very popular later work.

I'm a lifer. I personally like some of the lesser known tunes on this record. "Before and After" is worth the whole record. The lead in keeps you glued until it finally takes off into the hard rocker. I may have turned some of my friends off to this record because I was soooooo obsessive as a young fan. Sorry John, Neil, Geddy and Alex. Come over to my house and have dinner sometime and I'll make it up to you. Sorry about John and Neils passing. They were a real pleasure to listen to (especially Neil). Love this band and this record.

A very solid first album this is the only album without Neil Peart, Working Man, Finding My Way, In The Mood, What Your Doing are the standout tracks. The Table was set and with the addition of Neil Peart they were on their way to legendary status in Rock.
