  • Wow, it's Been That Long?

Got this when it first came out, saw the concert, as well as their 40th anniversary tour. I still remember when their first album came out, too. For this edition, the music is fantastic, but with that comes great sadness. Mr. Peart has passed on and my own life has eclipsed the band's tenure. Considering Rush focused many of their songs on the frailty and purpose of our lives, I shudder to realize my own has passed by like a single thought--where did the time go?

When I first heard there was yet another version of Moving Pictures being released, I thought, “Again? How many times does this album need to be re-released?”. I think it’s a great album but I think Rush hit their peak on the second half of Hemispheres. BUT….this is a must have for the two live CDs. Of all the live Rush albums, I think this is by far the best and not in just terms of the song selection but also for the sound and the energy. This really was Rush at their absolute best. So, get it, for you would be silly not to.

Wow possibly Rush’s best production wise release of a live set. Thanks for digging this one up.
