This album slipped in during the hey-day of hair metal and the British new wave. I don't care about all the other reviews, I bought this album when it came out, had a blast with it and built some great memories around it. Acutally one of their best.

OK, this is not one of Cheap Trick's crown jewels, the songs are pretty hit 'n' miss. Make no mistake the band rocks on "Standing on the Edge" and Robin Zander is at the top of his inimitable game...his voice never sounded better. The music is slightly marred by the unfortunate, reverb drenched 80's production. It's not that it is wimpy, it is just too busy sonically...and the drums sound terrible. Two things to note: the hooks are amazing even on the cheesy tunes ("Wild, Wild Women" and "Tonight It's You' are hook-filled dynamite- as good as anything in their catalog)...and the performances are uniformly fabulous.
Really underrated.

Agree with foid2000 and I'd add How About You is another strong cut.
