To the people who think the meaning is too "rough" need to wake up and smell the rotting coffee. Bullying is rough. And this is a ROCK band for Christ's sake. I can't believe the fool below me compared Shinedown to the whiny little girl, Taylor Swift. I don't care how hot she is, her music will never surpass Shinedown's.

The meaning of this song is awesome, but the music video and vocals are just horrific. Unlike songs like Taylor Swift's "Mean" Shinedown's version is a little scary for kids. It has the heavy metal sound that could get annoying for parents, and the lyrics "while you're hanging by a rope" could encourage suicide. "Mean" has more of a "feel good vibe" with lyrics like "Someday, I'll be, living in a big old city, and all you're ever gonna be is Mean." I applaud Shinedown's attempt, but it's just not "it." Sorry Shinedown, but nice try.

Leave it to Shinedown to write a song so personal to so many people today...and in the past & future. A lot of us were bullied. Brent's vocals are always powerful and he IS sexy too...and we all know it! Zach, Barry, & Eric are also amazing. I love the Bromance they share! They do seem to love each other like real brothers.
Keep up the great work! They've outdone themselves again with Amaryllis!! BUY IT!!!
