Faster tempo versions

If you listened to the originals you can tell they use a faster tempo in the re-recordings they’re ok but not as good as the original recordings
Fantastic updated version

Most re-recordings of a band's hits pale in comparison to the originals. Not these. New energy, new nuance, and absolutely up to the originals in skill and musicianship. Bravo boys. And thank you.

Not only have I bought this excellent collection, but I’ve started gifting it to further support the artists. Even gifting a single song here and there: as others have said, these guys richly deserve our support now that they have control of their stuff.
My all-time favorite, “Stories I Tell” is not included here. Vote “Yes” if you’d like to see TtWS release a re-recorded version. I’d buy it in a NY minute & start gifting in a second NY minute.

It's refreshing to hear these newly recorded, lightly produced versions of some of Toad's greatest songs.
This band has only gotten better over the years, and Glen's voice is still in excellent shape.
Minor niggles: I feel that Walk on the Ocean lost a little of its subtlety, with Glen straining a little on his lines, and the guitars and backing vocals are up a little high in the mix for my liking.
I also think Randy's drum kit is sometimes buried in the mix, and the snare sometimes sounds like an empty Quaker oatmeal container :-p Randy's playing, however, is not at fault here.
This release proves, if there was any doubt, that TTWS are excellent musicians who write impeccable songs that don't rely on production tricks.
Here's to many more Toad releases!!!!
Awesome....

The Fear songs sound great on this release. I never really cared for the production on Fear. It was overproduced and processed to death. "All I Want" and "I Will Not Take These Things For Granted" sound great. "Walk In The Ocean" still has a dated drum sound, but I think it sounds better than the Fear version. I would love it if they re-recorded the whole album. Glen's vocals are better on all the tracks. His vocals were good on the originals, but he really has matured as a vocalist, and I find myself preferring his vocals here.
Great re-recordings! An improvement and a great way to support Toad.

These re-recordings are better in almost every instance. As band members have said, they re-recorded these based on how they played them live--and it really shows. Crowing, Windmills, Something's Always Wrong, Walk on the Ocean, and even All I Want are markedly better--and that's saying something because they were great before.
Plus purchasing these versions supports Toad, who own all the rights to the re-recorded tracks. It's a great investment any way you think about it.
Holy Cow WOW!!
