TTWS brings back great memories. Being a teen/20’s in the 90’s was an experience!
An Album All It's Own

many fail to realize that this is a collection of songs recorded between 1989 and 1994, songs recorded for Pale, fear, and Dulcinea that didn't make it onto the albums. the collection also includes one home demo and one soundtrack recording. however, any of these songs could have worked on the albums they were recorded for. Toad never left songs off of albums because they weren't good, they never recorded stuff they didn't like. they merely always recorded 16-25 songs per album and could only put out 11 or 12 on each disc. many gems hit the cutting room floor. this album is filled with masterful songwriting, beautiful guitar work, haunting melodies, lyrics and beautiful harmonies. anyone who can't hear that isn't really listening to begin with. this may be just a compilation to the band, but it flows start to end just as well as ant real album. I look forward to the day the vault open and the rest of Toad's lost gems are revealed. there are many
A few good songs, but too many duds for this Toad fan

Was the reason I bought this album ("Good Intentions"). My first impression was it was ok... then "All Right" played and wow.. but then "All in all" followed and I hit repeat and listened to it until I fell asleep that night. So many band strive to have something released 1/2 this good especially with back to back classic songs... and this was a B-sides release, *blown away*
Time to Play B-Sides

B-Sides??? Usually a b-side album is a slapped together effort that is a hit or miss affair. In Light Syrup is laden with quality music throughout. All in All is one of my favorite songs of all time, with transcendent lyrics and hypnotic rolling drums. Folks, these are SOLID songs, full of melodic and lyrical hooks that grab you and don't let go. All Right, Are We Afraid, Brother ... Etc.
This collection could easily be a greatest hits compilation. If you like TWS at all you WILL like this album.
Allright

All Right should of been on Dulcinea but they decided to leave it out. Later Toad mentioned that it was a mistake. That song alone is one of the reasons I love this album.
Is this too old an album?

This is a classic album, cd, package of songs, whatever. Brother, Little Heaven, All in All, All Right rules!, All she said are superb songs--these guys were the Snow Patrol of their day and these songs have aged well...
Are we Afraid to give this CD 5 stars?

That joke in my title is awful...
I think this a great album. Especially since it's a b-side album. The only song I'm not that big on is Hope. I don't mind slow, mellow songs but I usually skip Hope. The rest is outstanding.
Great Album

Toad is one of the most underrated bands of the 90's and this is definitely an underrated album! This is a solid work, especially considering that it's B-sides. There are definitely some Toad greatest hits on this one - "Brother", "All in All", and "Hobbit on the Rocks."
Agreed this is not their best - BUT IT'S B-SIDES!!!
