Ditto Musicologist315.
Sorry folks, by far the all time best Kristine W. CD is LAND OF THE LIVING. Every song is different and unique. I've never once skipped a track on that album, unlike this new one.
Kristine is great. I saw here perform acoustically with just her, a piano (played by Elton John's keyboardist) and her Sax. This was at the White Party Vizcaya Mansion in Miami several years ago. She was flawless.

This CD is yet another testiment, in regards to the power of music. Kristine W, has yet to (in my opinion) fail her fans with new material. Kristine's work has always been a joy to experience and dance too, and this CD is no diffrent. I don't know of any fans that will be disappointed.
This after 6 years

After waiting for so long and compared to some of the music on past CD's this CD is mostly a bore. The producers chosen Hex Hector and Love to Infinity among others are no longer cutting edge and relevant They were great in the 90's but past their prime. The dance tracks all sound alike. Exceptions are I'm Coming Out, a great electronic re-work of the song and All In is powerful and lyrically intriguing. These 2 songs aren't even on the physical CD. In the past Kristine W was cutting edge with producers and arrangements. She set the standard in club music. After 6 years without a studio CD, I expected music that would be fresh and new. This CD accomplishes neither.
Kristine W will move your feet, your heart, and your soul.

Kristine W has mastered the art of elegant, well-written pop songs set to sweltering beats. This album proves once and for all that the true queen of pop is Kristine. The album starts off on a live-sounding vibe with "Be Alright" and "The Power of Music" which confuse expectations because they're not four-on-the-floor dance songs (at least until the remixes hit). She then delivers the first show-stopper, "Not So Merry Go Round." It literally slows things down to a crawl with an introduction that sends chills down your spine. Then she soars again with "Fade," easily Kristine's best song to date. The melancholy and urgency of the song are palpable under a bed of dance beats and acoustic guitars. She then travels back in time to her biggest hit and retrofits it for a new era. Then comes the three-in-one rush of "The Boss," "Love Is The Look," and "Window To Your World" which get your heart racing for the next 15 minutes. She then delivers her sweetest, most infectious ballad ever in "Strings." She literally floors you with a sweet, delicate ballad that melts the heart. Then comes the attack of five more dance songs: "Happiness" really is a blast of joy, and a cover of "I'm Coming Out" literally closes the album on a high note, then just when you thought it was over, another gem is delivered in "All In" with a pulsating beat and a clear mission to finish off the album with a bang. At 18 songs, it runs the risk of being too long, but instead actually leaves you wanting more. Definite must have for any dance or pop lover. If you only download a few songs, I recommend "Fade," "Feel What You Want," "Happiness," "Strings," and "I'm Coming Out." This album really does exemplify the power of music. Music can heal a broken heart, and if you can dance while it happens, even better.
