i love taylor and always will but this album felt very factory made like “hits” had to be made and there was no story or aesthetic. this album reminded me of reputation but with a more subtle tone. what i got from this album was her being herself and loving oneself which is a powerful statement don’t get me wrong. i just felt this album was forgettable and repetitive from the younger generation playing it over and over on insta and youtube. im looking forward to “tortured poets department” cause i know she wasnt feeling her best when she made “midnights” so i guess i think she was not being honest and vulnerable and i didnt like it instead of her lying about being confident and cunning. she deserves happiness although regardless. 💭
