Reviews

  • Just As Earnest As Boy

    By who cares?????????????????????
The boys were still dripping with sincerity and full of hope as when making their first. However, yappy dog music critics mindlessly adopted the collective opinion October was not up to par, similar to the braindead nonsense they spewed forth about Wish You Were Here following Dark Side. With an unobstructed view in one ear and out the other, these wanks just parrot the company line without ever listening for themselves. Except for New Year's Day, soundmeister The Edge was sent out back to pull weeds when U2 recorded War, but the critics hardly noticed that. Whatever.

Love this album by U2. It is spiritual and inspiring, full of energy. Bono’s lyrics are moving on faith, and hope (in Jesus), the loss of his mother, political unrest in his home. Rejoicing despite sufferings. Bono’s voice is amazing on this album and soars and fills the space. He truly sings from the depths of his spirit, humble and moving lyrics. To me “Boy” was hard to beat. This album’s content is equally humble and energetic but deeper and as I have said more spiritual. It truly lifts my spirits.
