Nicer to look at than to listen to.

I have always enjoyed looking at this album (the original vinyl version) more than I have listening to it. Jon Anderson sings and plays all the instruments on this, so don’t expect any wild guitar or keyboard solos..or drum solos. I have never really liked the songs that much, they fade from my memory even while listening to them. Great singing, of course, which is expected. I never got into the story behind it. It is great to look at, though, with the artwork done by Dave Roe, who also did the cover for Nazareth/ Hair Of The Dog.

Years ago I heard some of this on the radio and the DJ said afterwards “Every time I hear this I feel like I’ve been to a wedding.” Exactly so, and well put, except maybe I would say “my own wedding."

this is a must have work for john anderson's solo career, proving him a stellar writer and gifted musician.
the album (cd) speaks for itself in a manner that I could not do justice too.
listen once, you'll want it in your collection.
