Dark Magus and Live Evil are my two favorite live Miles Davis releases. Both changed my life and outlook on music. I'm a hardcore Miles fan and am addicted to his creative genius. "On The Corner" also displayed Miles' ability to take a blank canvas and with his boundless approach spawn such brilliant different music. His fusion changed the face of jazz forever!! Love ya' Miles

you don't have to have "advanced" tastes to enjoy this. you just need to be down with dissonance and crazy funk excursions.

If I could classify this into a specific genre, I would- It is as though Miles Davis were a poet who did not have the faculty of words and could only use music to express what cannot be uttered. This album is not for the average listenner; it is only recommended to those who have acquired an advanced taste of music, as in literature or poetry. Get this album and you will understand what I mean.
