I have had Sketches of Spain since it was originally issued, but I'd never seen the live track of Concierto. It is worth the album alone!

I actually bought this from an iTunes recommendation and I am so glad I did! I thought I would share this music with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law since they like jazz and music with a Spanish flair, and that's why I gave a listen to it. What a great piece to mellow out with, and if you're looking for something relaxing late at night or even if you need to "chill out" in rush hour traffic. It is surely a great traveling companion! The world lost a great talent when we lost Miles Davis, so thank goodness his music will live forever! Highly recommended.

This is an extraordinary album. Absolutely fabulous. If you love jazz, you know it, own it, and love it. If you are interested in jazz, it is one of 10 albums that'll get you hooked. Unlike a lot of Miles Davis' music, it is absolutely accessible if jazz is new to you.

It's funny that this is "new and noteworthy" since it's not new - check the release date. However, "Sketches of Spain" is certainly noteworthy. Miles Davis captured something on this album that transcends jazz. It plays like a film soundtrack, capturing a beautiful reflection of an intimate setting. Listen to it from beginning to end at least three times without prejudice to let its full production show you what it can bring. Every time I listen to this album it brings something new to mind.
