I agree, please listen to the song Jim Crow in context. For me the best songs on the album are King (my favorite) and Nicodemus. I really enjoyed this from beginning to end.

This albums captures in art all of the struggles we face and the underlying tensions of our society. Sho Baraka keeps it real here. Some are upset with his use of the N-word, but its context is to show the disdain that many have for their own skin, not to insult or degrade. I believe this is one of the best rap albums I have ever heard.

after listening to this album i understand where he is coming from . Sho touches on subjects of race, sex and still gives the gospel of Christ .

As a man of God I understand that it can be hard to be a "good role model" to the world when you're spittin raps about God & his word.. however, I do love when a "Christian man" is real & is hardcore about his music; opening people's eyes like "woah.." when making music. I personally believe that using "harsh words" will really open people's eyes, but always remember to be careful what words you use as well. overall, I like this album!
  • Wow some people didn't actually listen to the album

People givinh this album a 1 star because one song has the N word. He is using it in the perfect context. Disagreeing with is fine but making it sound like he's fallen is stupid. His music has always been socially conscious. His new music is still great

What happened to sho baraka? He was part of 116 clique, but since his "new"(rereleased) explicit album I would assume, and hope that he isn't any more. He did feature tedashii, which I wasn't real pleased about. The least we can do is pray for him! I'm really disappointed.

I'm disappointed in one of my long time role models. He stooped to a level that he use to preach against. #Fallen

It's rare that a christian album has a red E next to it. Quite disappointed with some of these songs. Others are great. For all of you who were wondering, the album was re-released with an explicit label and two new songs.
  • Repeat?
