This is Sho's best work to date. He's always had great concepts; on this EP, the lyricism more consistently matches the concepts - especially on 'Pedantic' & 'Pluralism.' Production, including mixing & mastering, seems to improve upon 'The Narrative' (Braille's growth is evident here); I think the two remixes improve upon the originals. I also think this works well as an EP; I'm glad these excellent songs don't have to share an album with less impressive ones. I'm not a big fan of the "just rap" punchline approach Sho takes on 'Piano Bars,' but even this is head and shoulders above previous joints like 'Mahalia,' from 'Talented Tenth.' Kudos to all involved.
  • A Clear Disappointment.

Sho Baraka had a lot of controversy in his prior albums, and this album ramps it up. Now he mocks Christian bookstores, uses even fouler language, and provides less original content. All in all, avoid!
