  • Fantastic Christmas album

For the last week my family has been listening to this album every evening. It's great because it's got classics you can all sing along to, songs to dance with your kids to, and songs with critical messages about Christmas that I'm thankful my children are hearing. Once again, King knocks it out of the park.
  • My favorite Christmas CD of the year!

This CD is smart. Lyrically it is ingenious, musically it is fantastic, and emotionally it just makes you feel good. There are a few cover tunes yet redone in Ross King fashion. However, the original songs are really where this work soars. Ross somehow finds a way to string together historical Israel's longing for a Savior and the commercialization of Christmas as we know it today. Like I said... smart! Buy it and it will quickly find its way into your favorites list.

I am a fan of Ross King! But I have to say this is one of my favorite albums. All the songs are great! Love that his beautiful wife Stacie is singing on the album with him! If you do not have this CD you need to get it! Thank you Ross for great music!

I am a fan of Christmas music. I am also a fan of Ross King. Not many people can articulate a point lyrically like Ross can... which is what sets his music apart from most,... stand out tracks on this for me are: RISE UP, penned with Michael Farren of pocket full of rocks. GREAT song. Secondly, I love the lyric of Macy's Parade... I am sure those of you who truly appreciate Ross' music and ministry -- this will be a fave. The Surprise for me, and a standout here, is the cleverly written Christmas Eve. I believe Ross wrote this with Jimmy Needham... mad props to these guys on this song. I Love this track! ... and l love the way Ross and Staci pull this song off vocally. It's as if they belong in a 'crooner' genre here. I think this song needs to be pitched to Buble, personally. I could see this as a duet on a buble/krall record. This song definitely could and should be a new holiday classic... This is a great CD. Buy it! I recommend it whole heartedly,... not to mention, it supports a great artist and writer.

I generally don't like modern Christmas albums, preferring to hear the songs I grew up with that remind me not only of childhood memories, but that point to Christ and His birth and subsequent death. That said, I bought this album today because of how much I've liked everything else Ross King has done, and I'm glad I did. This album is good. Really good. It's good musically and lyrically, with a lot of phrases that point upward, and also a lot that's just fun. The album simultaneously makes me think and remember, while also making me smile. I will be looping this album a decent bit over these Advent and Christmas seasons. For what it's worth, the best title is "Angels", which is a very excellent reworking of "Angels we have Heard on High", with some new lyrics that aren't in any way disruptive and with a chorus as memorable as that of the original.
  • Great Album!
