So much groove.

People Train has more groove than any song I've ever heard. I just stand up and dance every time I hear it. Own most of BHT's stuff, but I really like this album

Talk to Me!...new BHTM

Just discovered BHTM 2 years ago and what a find...kept hearing that drum sound and the bass "steady" behind Todd's compelling,"talk to me" vocals on Bittersweet, which gets a fair amount of airplay on Dave Radio,92.9.in Atlanta. So I went to iTunes searching for their music and got hooked! I love their sound, their rockin' soul....good lyrics AND a sense of humor. Todd just lays down natural talent as a guitarist, writer and haunting singer..it just rocks my soul, pleases my senses and makes me want more! Would be awesome if 2011 really got them the play they deserve,,,,,BHTM grows on you! More and more, like All the Love you Need!

After reading all the glowing reviews I could not wait to down load the full album. After the first full listen I thought it was nice that many of BHTM personal friends wrote the glowing reviews. Big disappointment. "New sound" misses big time. Checking the liner notes to see if Macy Gray is singing on Beast of Burden. Still a huge fan and will support the band forever. I guess maybe the bar is just set so high after so many great albums. Just a few tunes to put into the shuffle and not much else on this one.
Poor Effort

Simply stated, complete failure. Coming from a life long BHTM fan. Sorry guys new sound does not translate. Alvin and the Chipmunks are more entertaining than this album. Too bad to wait this long for this release.

These guys are great and this is their best album yet. Take it from me and save yourself the trouble of downloading a few songs from this album and just get the whole thing. You won't regret it. I have been a fan for years and seen them play many a times. I was going to their concerts when Dave Mathews was opening for them. I just saw them a few weeks ago and the show was a blast. "Beast of Burden" was outstanding. Keep it up.

I've been a fan of Bighead Todd and the Monsters for nearly 20 years. This album is just wonderful! All the songs are unique and so creative. You get a little bit of funk, soul, blues, and rock. I love the diversity! The lyrics are truly poetic and mean something. These monsters just continue to get better and better, and they were awesome to begin with. You will love this compilation!
Not what I was hoping for...

I've been a BHTM fan since Midnight Radio and I have to say that this new album dissapoints me. I don't exactly understand what the point of some of these songs is. There are some good songs and some bad songs, but what bothers me about it is the fact that it doesn't seem like the Big Head Todd I've always liked. I guess the main point here is that if I want to listen to Big Head Todd I have to go back to the old stuff, because to me, the new stuff just doesn't cut it. I guess once you know songs like Midnight Radio, Bittersweet, and Love Betsy from their best album Midnight Radio (in my humble opinion), it's hard to think anything else is better.
BHTM proves again they can do it all....

sweet, soulful, sinful funk in this less-rock, more caribbean party mix. hats off to their continued diversity and ability to transcend so many genres seamlessly. can't wait to rock out rocksteady when they get here.... still a puzzle as to why BHTM are not bigger with ALL contemporary generations.
Awesome!!

Love the new album. These guys keep getting better and better every year. Also, if you have not seen them in concert, I would highly recommend it. Can't wait to see them perform the songs from this album when they come back to SC.
