Finally...after so long. Awesome. I hope their album continues to capture their spirit the way these two tracks do! Well done gentlemen!

I *really* have major issues with purchasing ANYthing from iTunes (mainly because of its history with DRM), but if ANY band could force me to compromise my ideals, it's Devo! "Fresh" is an amazingly catchy jam, but the real gem here is "What We Do"--a perfect restatement of de-evolution for 21st Century audiences that will nonetheless appeal to long-time Devo listeners as well...mainly because both "Fresh" and "What We Do" are quite reminiscent of the synthpop sound of Oh No! It's Devo and New Traditionalists. Devo has returned, humans. WE MUST REPEAT!
  • OUTSTANDING!

Check it out...if you go back and listen to their older stuff...you'll hear how this band has influenced many today.

I've been a fan of Devo for about 10 years now. I'm 23 now and became a fan well after their last album had come out. I can't express how excited I am for their new album. These two songs are great, and I love how it's different but at the same time the same sound that I loved from their later albums (Oh No, It's Devo). Can't wait!

“Fresh” is a track that sticks in your head hours later and “What We Do” is a catchy throw back to “New Traditionalists” or “Oh No” days. Combined with some of the other stellar tracks from the coming album like “Don't Shoot”, Devo has re-found their muse and is combining it with stellar production that doesn't sanitize the synth sounds, which is probably the main negative aspect of the albums from New Traditionalists onward. And of course the Song Study is a perfect tribute to devolution!

DEVO has always been one of my all-time favorite bands...going WAY back to around 1981 or so when I first saw them live. It's great to see more new music, and staying true to what DEVO is all about. If you like DEVO, you'll love these new songs. My only complaint is that there isnt more!

Anyone worried that Devo would disappoint after all these years? FEAR FLIPPIN NOT! The spudkings are back and they rock. Now if iTunes would just carry the single “Don’t Shoot” I’d be a happy tot. Two words: Awe-some.
