The albulm I started not to buy.... It's Iconic in that it has at least 3 cuts on on it that are "must-haves"(Freeway/Sisters & the Title Cut) - so it's a must-have for that matter
A pleasure from start to finish

After several albums on Arista that brought her back to the public eye, she broke back onto the pop charts in a big way with Who’s Zoomin’ Who. She adopted a harder edged sound with elements of rock, particularly on “Push” and “Another Night”. The title track is my favorite; coming in a close second is the ballad “Until You Say You Love Me”. This is an ‘80s classic.

This album was a 80s attempt to put Aretha Franklin on the charts…and it actually worked! The production is pure 80s, but Aretha's voice sounds just as soulful as ever (that's how good she is). She also sacrificed nothing in terms of thematic sass. "Freeway of Love" is pure froth, but she also reminds her man to show "Integrity" and that "Sisters are Doing it For Themselves." As a child of the 80s, it was a great intro to the classic Aretha of the 60s.

Growing up in the 1980's this is the Aretha I grew to love, although my parents played her earlier recordings as well this album truly is part of the soundtrack of my youth. Who's Zoomin' Who is still one of my favorite cuts by Aretha hands down!!
Awesome!!

The capsule that accompanies this album says "Sisters Are Doin' It For Themselves" faltered at No. 66. Maybe it did on the R&B charts, but it was a Top 20 hit on the Billboard Top 100 and has remained a staple since.
