Like it’s predecessor, the first half of this album is great and the second half not as memorable. Favorite songs are anything on side one (thinking in terms of vinyl). E5150 is a very evil sounding instrumental and a good lead in to the title track. Sign Of The Southern Cross is great. I also dig the album cover. Very good album.

I have listened to Sabbath for over 30 years. Tony's work on turn up the night is very underrated and in my opinion is his best work. Just listen to how the guitar riffs through the song and the changes in the cords. Simply awesome.

Man I love this album! So underrated and overshadowed by its predecessor H&H. First of all it's heavier than H&H; the guitar on some tracks has almost a growling sound to it. The hook on Voodoo is one of the best metal hooks of all time and so dang catchy. The Mob Rules rocks the hardest on the album and Dio's vocals so insanely good. Slipping Away seems like a Led Zeppelin tribute, great tune. And Falling Off The Edge is so good. One of my favorite albums.

This album is a MASTERPIECE! The second album with Dio, this is even better than Heaven and Hell, and it is possibly the best post Ozzy album. Turn up the Night is a great song, but it just isn't as great as the rest of the album. Voodoo is a better song than turn up the night, the riff is one of the best Black Sabbath riffs. It just seems more like Rainbow than Black Sabbath, but it is still great. The Sign of the Southern cross is an epic song. It is very underrated. It starts as an acoustic ballad, then it kicks in with the trademark Sabbath riff. It then alternates from mid tempo synthesizer sections to the heavy riffing. E5150 is a short experimental intro to The Mob rules, which is a fast, simple song. Country Girl is like early Sabbath, it has another Sabbath trademark riff. It is another simple song but it is still great. Slipping Away has a non continuous riff that reminds me of Led Zeppelin. Falling off the Edge of the World is another underrated, but great track. Over and Over is a masterpiece within a masterpiece. It has some of Tony's greatest solos. Buy this album, you won't regret it. Unless you have bad tastes!

Where is the original Black Sabbath music. Dio was a great singer and I love everything he did but I am looking for the early stuff. Don't have it?

Dio again shining and showing what he can do with his second Black Sabbath album. I feel that the intro Turn Up the Night is better than the Heaven and Hell version Neon Knights. If you liked Heaven and Hell, you will enjoy The Mob Rules.
