Patrick Rocks Always

I love this music. It brings back great memories of dancing all night long at the now demolished gay club called the Monastery in Seattle, WA. His work was fresh, original, and extremely creative. So many great dance recordings came out of San Francisco during the early 80's. I miss that time, and it will never come again. I agree that Menergy is not the original recording since I own the original recordings and the CD, and I was alive when the original recording came out on vinyl. I think it is a re-mix that was put out after Patrick's death by Marty Blecman of Megatone records. I think even young people today will like his music since it is timeless.
If you want the original version of, "Menergy," buy the, "Patrick Cowley Menergy Fusion Album here on ITunes.

Patrick was an innovator of electronic music. I really thank Itunes for making it available, but some of the recordings are not the originals. Menergy for instance sounds very very different than the original.
