Great album - bad mix

Wonderful album, but the guys on the mixing desk must have fallen asleep! John's vocals on "Covered in Rain", for example, are barely audible. Worst mix in history!

Refreshingly real, refreshingly honest. Inspired me to do my best. Two steps back, a lot of patience, tons of trial and error... seems to get us to make great leaps forward. Putting myself up against the music, brought out the best in me, by making me realize that all the horrible things I thought about me, were not true. It's cool how music can set you straight, keep you on track and make you more well, you. When you're in a toxic environment, you think you're a toxic and vile person. It's not till you pull out and put in the time and effort, really put in those hours, that you come close to who you really are - pure and beautiful, inside and out. The reality check I needed.
Disappointing

If you have Where the Light Is, don't bother with this one. I love John Mayer, but this is not his best album by far. His improv vocals are meandering, apathetic, and unresolved. It's just boring. I'm not sure if part of the problem isn't the production quality, but this album is the one regret in my JM library.

I'm a die-hard JM fan, but this is seriously a must have for anyone, especially people who love live performances. John's version of Come Back to Bed and Inner City Blues are worth the album price alone.

I am a huge John Mayer fan----I thought I had everything that I needed.....i didn't. Every die-hard fan of John Mayer MUST buy this album! He is one of the best live performers out there and this album really shows him off. You may already have these songs but I'm tellin ya---these songs might as well be new releases with all the funk and blues that John Mayer adds to a live concert.
he's sooo good

This is one of the best contemporary music I've heard in a while. Come Back to Bed alone is worht the price for the whole album!!!
Some of Mayer's best.

This is a great live album of JM's, unlike his previous live release, Any Given Thursday. Even though most Mayer fans will own practically every song on this album, these live versions are definitely worth a listen. This album is a must-have for any avid John Mayer fan or anyone who enjoys great live music.
as is

john is at his best with guitar in hand and mic in front of him....we feel the real rockn'roll john mayer...hearing him play that damn guitar...we don't get enough of it on a normal album....nothing like 11:57 seconds of come back to bed
