John really came out of the gate having full vision of what he stands for and what his career is going to look like. A remarkable debut album. He is deep and thoughtful but also a little boyish. Thanks for bringing John into our lives.
  • Excellent Album. Just buy it!

I was listening to the Dark Side of the Moon and could not figure out what I could possibly flow that up with, on a whim, I got this album. Can’t remember why, but msn o man! What a great album. Easily in my top 5 of all time. Every song is well written, perfectly executed, and has stood the test of time in my ever changing library. I can’t say enough about it, perfect!

The depth of this album is hidden well in catchy riffs. By far one of the greatest albums I’ve listened to...ever. Actually more applicable today than when it came out, in my opinion. 3X5 has to be one of the greatest, along with no such thing. So much truth. Love it

I don’t know why this album doesn’t have more reviews but it is definitely John’s best. I remember buying this back in 2001/2002, before I became married with children. Seems like it was just yesterday that I was listening this album and here 18 years later I can sing every song word for word. Every song on this album is a masterpiece.

Just amazing. Period. I remember buying this on CD and importing it .wav 16b/44.1 (the only way to enjoy itunes stuff). Such a time capsule, and still current.

This is one of my personal favorite John Mayer albums. This album has a great flow, track after track. This album also has great vocals, great drum solos, and great guitar solos as well. Finally, the instruments wrap around the vocals like no other, and intertwine perfectly. Definitely looking forward to the next limited play album, and extended play album from John Mayer.

Along with Coldplay, the two artists who have consistently produced the best music in the first two decades of the 21st Century. Timeless tunes.
