This is one of my personal favorite John Mayer albums. This album has a great flow, track after track. This album also has great vocals, great drum solos, and great guitar solos as well. Finally, the instruments wrap around the vocals like no other, and intertwine perfectly. Definitely looking forward to the next limited play album, and extended play album from John Mayer.

John is an absolute genius musically. I haven’t heard one bad song that he’s ever put out. I hope we have many more years to come with his music.

This man will always be my favorite! His voice, his talent is untouched. He is way underrated, it's a shame. I mean his guitar skills alone🙌🏼. Beautiful beautiful man. You John Mayer are good for the soul baby💋

I didn't buy this album when it came out because I listening to who says and being sorely disappointed. One day on Pandora I
heard Edge of Desire and fell in love with John all over again. Hated to have missed out on such great music by my favorite musician of this time.
Looking forward to seeing him at the Search For Everything tour in NY

This album is great. Not as good as Continuum, but it's still an album that I'm willing to revisit seven years after the fact. The only disappointing moment for me was the Crossroads cover...I just don't think it fits at all, and it didn't exactly improve on Clapton's version.
Now that we're in 2015 I have a theory about where John's career is headed. He seemed to hit a rough patch somewhere after the release of Continuum, and as a result he had a lot of feelings that he had to let out and put into these songs. This is an emotionally NAKED album, and you can really tell he's digging deep. However, I don't think the album was cathartic enough, and he felt the need to relocate to the middle of nowhere and completely reinvent himself. Enter "Born and Raised", and album saying "this is who I am, and I'm not going to be worried about what people think of me. I'm going to bury my past". Born and Raised said a LOT imo about who John aspires to be. and NOW we have Paradise Valley, which I don't really know what he's trying to say...that he likes country? I think the creative well has run dry for him. He's always been someone that's written from his emotions, and right now I think he's just numb to it all. He tried to change so much, and so fast, that now he's kind of stuck in limbo. I hope he snaps out of it, because Paradise Valley was uninspired and incredibly disheartening to listen to...I felt nothing but disappointment.
