Ah... this is del at his Freshest. Tracks like "X-Files" truly show off his skills as a lyricist. His newest Album "Eleventh Hour" was just released, and was a dissapointment to most of his hardcore fans. This is a big refreshment to revisit Del without his inflated ego of Eleventh Hour. The beats are very layed back, his flows are creative and origional like always, and the stories within the songs are interesting and funny.
Every track on this album is worth buying, just to listen to del in his medatative writing state. The title "Future Development" is perfect for this album; it just goes to show Tha Funkee Homosapian is as Prolific as ever. It gives me something to bump to as I wait for "Deltron: Event II"
Its a must have. Five Stars.

Everything this cat does is golden, this is not his best album(both sides of the brain and deltron 3030 are better) but this is far ahead of it's time.

I've always thought Del was an exceptional MC but he hasn't always had the production to back up his albums. I loved "No Need for Alarm" but after that nothing peaked my interest ("Deltron 3030" had 2 HOT tracks and the rest were OK IMO). I also felt at times, he never got out of that early 90's style of rhyme and never came out of it like the rest of the Hiero crew. I stumbled over this while I was reorganizing my iTunes library. Future Development? Hmm... I sampled one track - NO BAD. Next one - HMMM. The next - NICE! I loved it within 5 minutes. Why couldn't all of Del's albums be of this caliber? Of course, this one is not that easy to come by as I'm sure the industry doesn't like to promote classic hip-hop of guys who names don't begin with "Lil". Thank God for Hiero Imperium records and artists creating their own labels. Thanks iTunes and that Mr Jones for putting out a hot one!
