I have been a huge fan of Austin's works with Matt Nava. Journey and Abzu are brilliant works; the epitome of a master of his craft. This album was something I was so looking forward to. 21 songs to go along with another Matt Nava game? I was very excited. But this...its boring. "Cernos" and "An Empty Monastery" stand out to me, but the rest I just don't like. It's just kind of boring, without the depth or intrigue of the previously mentioned works. I also hate the over-use of throat singing in half the songs. Where it would normally add a lot to a song, here is just sounds so ambient its bad and kind of wastes its bombastic, eye-grabbing, or even meditative, potential.
