  • Awful!

This is not a masterpiece nor did John anticipate punk as one claims! This is just another example of proof that Paul was the writing force behind the most overrated group in history! One track on here is a Pink Floyd wannabe! Lennon had no direction here! Imagine IS the only song Lennon wrote that is worth listening to!
  • Solid, but not his best

John Lennon is legendary...unequivocally. This 1970 Lennon & Plastic Ono debut album is anything but. When I was 13, I felt betrayed. Nothing’s changed since.

This is raw and beautiful at the same time. Have this on tape and this was something my pops showed me and it never gets old. Filled with soul and music that is so emotional. Just go for a drive and crank this all the way through. You can thank me later. 🤙🏼
  • A Masterpiece

The last time Lennon looked forward, anticipating punk by over 10 years. But it was ahead of its time and didn’t sell. So he “sugarcoated” it (in his own words) after this with Imagine.
  • As raw as it gets.

After all these years it still cuts deep and it makes you feel. A rare record of painful emotional beauty.
