It's always saddened me that this band doesn't get the recognition it should. This band is amazing. They don't know how to write bad music. This album is amazing, as is every one they make.

Guard My Heart sure sounds familiar. In fact, many people heard it way back in 1995 when it was the title track of the Vigilantes of Love “Blister Soul” album. That album is fantastic. BFS mimicry does not even come close.

Guard My Heart - a blatant ripoff of Bill Mallonee's Blister Soul. For shame!

Guard My Heart is an un-credited theft, of a song that was originally recorded in 1995 by renowned singer/songwriter Bill Mallonee, with his band Vigilantes of Love (VOL). BFS changed the lyrics of the title track on VOL's Blister Soul album and borrowed lyrics and themes from other songs included elsewhere on the album. Don't waste your money unless you want to help them settle their upcoming lawsuit.

Fishin' For Woos is quite a prediciment, although it hearkens back to records like "Drunk Enough To Dance" and "A Hangover You Don't Deserve", it lacks in the hits, there isn't really a stand out single on this album, nothing that seems to stay in my head too long, with the exception of the humorous "Here's Your Freakin' Song" most of this album sounds like filler from earlier BFS records. Although it's good to hear ome of their old sound back, I'd really love to hear more memorable tunes from these Denton, TX pop-punkers.
  • I will always love this band the most.

I grew up listening to these guys and I love pretty much all of their songs. It's quite hard for them to make a bad song. Im so glad these guys havent changed and have continued to make really awesome and enjoyable music for everyone throughout their career. Bowling for Soup for life.

With all the dark "goth" style bands out there spitting out the same kind of drab music this one is really original and upbeat and sounds great. I've never listened to them before, my daughter goes to school with the singer's daughter so I just listened out of curiousity because he is a pretty nice guy and his tatoo's of Fisher Price toys dedicated to each child for each arm are pretty hilarious. If I had the cahones to get ink that's what I would do... Anyway, I was really surpised how much I like the songs. Great album, great songs and great band... I it does'nt make working out next him a little weird listening to his music. :) I highly recommend this album but go back and listen to some of their old stuff... surprising to me that they are not more popular. Very under rated band with very original and great music.
