If you’re already a fan of Sunn O))), you probably understand what you’re in for here. It doesn’t crush like Black One, but it’s definitely eery and heavy in its own way. It certainly won’t win any converts to Sunn O))), but that’s never been the point, anyway. Admittedly, I found the vocals completely at odds with my expectations at first, but by the end of track one, I was digging it. It’s weird. I like weird. It’s safe to assume that anyone reading this already knows what’s up, so what are you waiting for? Buy it!

First of all, rest relaxed: this is not Lulu: Drone Edition. This is a very well put together, well paced album that manages to show off both sides of the project's skills.
The main point of contention appears to be over Scott's vocals. Personally, I can see why people dislike them; their overall timbre is generally just very...weird to hear in a popular context. However, it is a dramatic voice, full of conviction and pain. In this sense, it perfectly embodies Sunn's music.
Highly recommended...but listen to some previews before buying.

Wow, this is pretty disappointing. The music itself sounds kind of cool, a little more emphasis on electronica/ noise (and lite on the heavy-drone) version of Sunn O))). Perhaps, as a straight instrumental I could live with it, but the vocals just ruin every single song for me. Scott Walker may be great on his own (I'm not really familiar with him) but his vocals DO NOT FIT Sunn O))). That and ten bucks for five tracks, sorry no dice. Sad thing is I really dig Sunn O))) too.
PS they really need to release a proper studio album of their own and no more half-a** collaborations.
