Only 4 songs are worth buying. Forever More was okay but most songs were lacking Tommy's influence. Sadly this album is missing the same thing. Jeff's voice is going from raspy to throaty gargle. Used to have a great voice with a little rasp and a bluesy sound. And no offense to Dave but he's not Tesla; Tommy was Tesla and evidently irreplaceable. I agree with a previous comment, check out "Bar7" - "The World is a Freak" if you want to hear what Tesla is missing. It's a band Tommy & Jeff had during tesla's breakup period. I love Frank but without him, Jeff & Tommy still sounded more like tesla than tesla does now without Tommy. And Jeff's vocals are awesome on the Bar7 songs.
  • Solid effort!

Always great to hear new Tesla music, MP3 guitar sounds a bit like Cinderella’s Night Songs.

What a great album! I've had it for 2 weeks now and I can't stop listening to it. I hope they continue releasing albums of this quality for a long time.

I hate to admit it but I haven't kept up with Tesla since Bust A Nut. So when I saw they had recently put out a new creation I just had to see what one of my favorite blue jean and tee shirt rock bands was up to. It's no surprise to find them still kickin out honest feel good rock just as they did back in the day. Despite the haters and naysayers I think most true Tesla fans will be quite happy with this one. It's inspired me to start backtracking through their catalog. LONG LIVE TESLA!!!

I "rediscovered" Tesla about a year ago. I am ashamed of myself for not being more into them back in the day. I really like this album. Is it their best ever? No. Is it great music from a fantastic band? Absolutely!

This is a very good album. I don't know if I can exactly call it a return to classic Tesla, but it is very good. The lat 2 original studio CDs, Forevermore and Into the Now fall short in some way. They each have some good songs, but this CD is better overall. Love Ricochet, and almost all the other songs. The video for So Divine is really good, too. I like the song much better after watching the video. If you are a fan, you should buy the album.

Easily my favorite band from 1989 - 1994. As a lyricist, Jeff is quite the dreamer and idealist, and his music really spoke to me in my teens and early twenties. As I got older, I found myself craving darker music, so Tesla's optimism became annoying to me and I barely thought about them for 15+ years. I rediscovered them recently while converting my cd collection to mp3 and started listening to them again. I was also stunned to discover the quality of the newer stuff. It's not available on ITunes, but try to find the Bar 7 album if you don't have it. The musicianship on this album is stellar. I have seen a few negative reviews that focus on the simplicity of the lyrics on this album. Those critics aren't wrong, but I think Jeff is a simple guy and he's just doing the same thing he's always done. I find the lyrics on this album to be fun and catchy. Overall, this is probably the best original music they've done in 20 years. I especially like Flip Side and Ricochet. If you don't care for Tesla in general, I don't think you'll be converted by this album. But if you're still a big fan of the old stuff, I think you'll like this too.
