This album alone is what made me start listening to Jr. Brown. Just wish Apple would make more ringtones with his music.. Like, Highway Patrol.

Junior Brown has got the gift of music. I don't know whether to be more impressed with his guitar playing, singing or songwriting abiliites. His playing style and tone are so unique that even when he plays a classic country or blues lick - he owns it - you don't mistake it for someone else.

This album is a throwback to how country music used to sound "back in the day". Every song is well written and the guitar playing is beyond comparision. I thought this was a re-release because it sounded so "retro" but was pleasantly surprised to find out that Mr. Brown and company are alive and well. I applaud his efforts at "keeping it real" but I wish he and his band had more exposure. The general population is truly missing out on a great listening experience. I only hope to catch his act live someday. Buy this album, you will not be disappointed.

While hosting the CMA's several years ago, following a performance by Junior Brown, Vince Gill proclaimed "that is the last man playing country music today." Enough said. Junior Brown is God.
