Reviews

  • These are not good recordings.

These are not good recordings of Glen Campbell. They sound flat and lifeless. I love Glen Campbell, but this album sounds like someone made a recording of a recording of a recording.
  • Songs NOT cut off

When album is first downloaded the songs play in their entirety. If replayed BEFORE they go into library, the songs for some unknown reason will not start from beginning. Once the album is in library and reopened, the songs play from beginning!

Snare drummed to death. Why was this incredible voice drowning in the remix.
  • Grew up watching Glen on T.V.

I remember watching him on his Good Time Hour show and this album brings back great memories. He was a great guitar player and has a very mellow voice. How many people of this now generation can say they understand the words when people sing? Saw his PBS show and Glen could still belt out the tunes. God bless you Glen Campbell, I'm so sorry you have Alzheimer's.
  • Great Remix!

Now THIS is the way I remember Glen Campbell. This is the way he sounded when he had his own TV Show in the 70s. These recordings (even though they are remixes) sound so rich and full with all the instrumental background accompaniment. I love hearing these great Jimmy Webb songs performed by on of the best entertainers of the 70s. I highly recommend this great collection to true Glen Campbell fans.
  • Stay away - remastered to "modern" compression/volume standards

If you ever wanted to know what Glen's masterful songs would sound like if recorded today, where they were maximized for volume and compressed dynamic range, get this album and/or purchase these versions of these tracks. If you want to hear them properly and with the full dynamic range they were originally recorded with, seek out a different collection. A very disappointing result that unfortunately is all too common when tracks are "remastered."
