This is the first record I remember as a child hearing, not bad for a start into this wonderful world of music, thank you for keeping it alive in digital format.

Ramone Carmalita! What can one say about this...thing. Well there isn't much to say except for the fact that Ramone was just a simple country/city/suburb girl who couldn't quite make up her mind about what she wanted. And, ya know, after having that run-in with the aliens, she was never quite the same. Anyways, we lost contact when we were about 16 years old, but I suppose now that she has become a man and now her name is Ray Charles. Well, I wish her/him all the best of luck. I just can't figure out why she's wearing those huge black glasses....
Red Robin....YUMM!

Another reviewer called this compilation "pretty good." For the record, if this is only "pretty good," then nearly everything else on itunes is utterly irrelevant! These are among the best records Ray Charles ever cut, which is to say that they are among the best records ever cut by anyone...period. Hallelujah, I Got a Woman, This Little Girl, Aint That Love, Drown in my own Tears, and the amazing Sinner's Prayer are utterly awe inspiring, nearly fifty years now after they were recorded. Pretty good my ---.
