  • Updated Sounds but still hard to pinpoint

    I figure by now Ronnie would discovered his sound since he's much older but I guess it goes without that sometimes it's hard to teach a old dog new tricks. Tracks like "Hey You" is a reminder of how Ronnie always experiments and tries to push the envelope but doesn't quite get it all together like the "Every Generation" album that he did almost 30 years ago. He has to be the most interesting person that I have in my jazz collection. The only artist that I think can push innovative sounds in the modern era of the funk-jazz-fusion is Herbie Hancock who seems to get it right most of the time but not Ronnie. Interesting tales of careers of these 2 fine artists.
