I had this CD when it first came out. I lost it awhile ago, something reminded me of them. Found it on here and it still sounds great!!!

"New Killer America" was Skrape's "humble beginnings" debut and the rough edges are pretty obvious. That's not always a bad thing, because Skrape's intense brand of rock/metal thrives on those edges. Blending melody, meaty riffs, and some interesting keyboards for ambience, "New Killer America" was the starting point of Skrape's sound. Highlights on this album include: "What You Say", "Waste" and my favorite track "Broken Knees". Honorable mention for the explosive (pun intended) closer "Blow Up". Check out Skrape if you're into bands like American Head Charge, Nothingface, and other bands that blend atmosphere with brutality. It's a decent listen, but the previously mentioned groups perform better.

These guys sadly are no more, but while they were around they put out two OUTSTANDING albums. Buy them both.
