Peter Michael Hamel is the German equivelant to Philip Glass and his influence is shown here. Where he excells the most is when he attempst to sound less like Glass focusing on the interesting interplay between rythmic patterns. He achieves a sound would that while minamist in construction, streaches beyound the confines and recalls early Shostsokovich. This is recomended music for those that don't want to be brainwashed into thinking that all the really cool "new music" is happening in America.
