  • Rustic, Vibrant, Joyous, and a great trip down the Nile

The songs in this recording reverberate throught the living room ambience of a small joint with joyous audience participation and their excitement and enjoyment of this wondeful concert is infectious and translates beautifully over to the listener. The songs are scaled down and de-studioized from their studio verstions, unplugged, and acoustic, with a wonderful rustic live recording sound without the polish or perfection, which is precisely the point. The songs are accompanied by verbal interludes full of gaitey and mischief. But above all, this is about Willie Nile, A songwriter and musician in league with Dylan, Springsteen, etc, but a star that shines all on its own, with his unique facets of genius, beauty and incredible energy, lyricism, with classic written all over his music. Timeless and perfect in its way. Add another star to the five.

As Little Steven says, "Willie is so good he should be from New Jersey". Willie proves that at the Turning Point!
