Nile always conveys such intensity, joy and power - hard to believe (unless you've heard Willie) but these interpretations elevate these songs further.
A real gift to his fans

I was a young man when I first heard "Old Men Sleeping In The Bowery" on WNEW FM out of NYC. Willie Nile along with Television became for me what the NYC music scene was all about. Tom Verlaine and Television have all but disappeared, but Willie Nile has maintained a vibrant, active and productive career ever since his 1980 debut. This latest outing pays homage to someone who was obviously very influential to him, and the respect he pays to these songs shines throughout. A real treat.
First download great

The first song download of the The Times They Are A Changin' was a great start. Catchy tune and that's hard to get out your head. Is that Johnny Pi singing background? if so he nails it.
