last night i was over at a friend's house having a 'j', and on the drive home a cop started following me as this song was nearing it's tension filled last half on the radio--i thought i was in a hitchcock getaway scene--totally paranoid--i immediately purchased this album when i got home

This seems to take me away from this place.... and show me deeper thoughts. Only the best can offer those experiences I believe. Enjoy.

Joan Tower's music is always crowd pleasing and has the "WOW" factor. This is no exception. When the recording ends the listener sits and says WOW!!! This is a great musical ride.

If you want to hear the best of what an American composer can offer, this is it! You will be surprised by creativity of Joan Tower as well as the quality of performance by Nashville Symphony. By the way, this recording is part of Ford "Made in America" program & National Endowment for the Arts, and is the first EVER to be recorded at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. These facts alone should be worth a listen!
