Agree with the reviewer-amazingly clean sound. Can't knock the official 2 Mercury albums as they are basically legend, but this is like listening to another great take on this incredibly influential band. To the guy who knocked them and the other guy who said don't bother only two (Sylvain and Johansen) are still alive-ugh, get a life. NY Dolls forever.

If you really want to experience the Dolls at their height of fame and musical stature, Import the first album. These songs just have 2 original members [Johansen and Sylvain] the rest are dead.

The New York Dolls are back! This is a great album and i recommend it to any dolls fan. But i wrote this review to the idiot that said that most people would be interested in this band because of true life. you are a complete dumba$$. if ozzy osboune walked up to you and started dancing naked you wouldn't know who the hell he was. the new york dolls are one of the greatest glam rock bands if not the greatest. you are an idiot

Finally, we have a few great tunes from the band that started it all. I've been waiting a long time to hear this music . . . right up there with The Ramones and The Stooges, Great stuff!! Would like to see/hear more of the early stuff.

I bet most of you were interested in listening to this band for the same reason I was. They appeared on MTV's True Life series a while back, and sounded mildly entertaining on the show. I was so dissapointed when listening to this. Seriously. Not worth the $.99
