2008/03/07 - Mistakes Were Made!

Shortly after the release of this album, I got to see the Indigo Girls in concert for the first time (out of an eventual five). Paramount Theater, Seattle, fall of 1990. Before the show began, I looked around at the audience and thought, "Well, hellooo! Look at all the ladies!" Upon further observation, the creeping realization that I wouldn't have much luck with any of them slowly sank in. "But, if these gals are... then that would mean Amy and Emily are... Ah, NUTS!" (As David Spade once told Ellen DeGeneres, "And then I got the memo.") I was reminded of this years later when Jason Lee's character had a similar epiphany during the bar scene in "Chasing Amy." Anyway, this is my second fave IG album, but I still give it five stars!
