Beautiful

Okay, this album has gotten mixed reviews and I'm not sure why. I love it. It has some of my favorite IG songs--Hope Alone, Deconstruction, Our Deliverance, etc. It's a bit softer than some of the other albums, but it's deeper. If you are an IG fan, or even if you're not, you won't be able to get these songs out of your head!

I am a longtime and steady lover of Indigo Girls music - they write what we all feel & live. But something is not there on this one for me. I think the problem is more musical than lyrical - the songs just don't have that normal amazing melody, harmony, and fine balance between simplicity & layers of complexity. It's like they just can't get the right key or something... which is tough to say because they can do no wrong in my eyes! Just not my favorite, I guess.
