Artists grow, but the last two singles simply do not hit. Pop? Yes. Hollywood sadcore? Here for it. Rock? Always. Surrealism? Love it. This annoying country stuff? No. Just… stop. Where is the grit? Where’s unique arrangements that made Lana del Rey such a legend? This is so… basic. I was looking forward to getting past the Ocean Blvd. era but I take it back. I’ll listen to OB on repeat rather than a full album of whatever this was. Hard pass.
