I just discovered M. Ward's music. It is so raw and open and real…seriously, I love his music.

okay first of all....69 cents? Dude M.Ward is so great! Why in the hell should it be so cheap? I mean songs like...One time by that Justin Boober guy is 1.29...there's something wrong with this society. 423482734279759832 stars

When i first heard this album, i was like "this is elevator music" but then i really sat down and LISTENED to it. I like it a lot. I think he's talented but he's no musical mesiah, here to take us to Valhala. I love the lyrics to the songs though. It's a beautiful album and a beautiful band. I recommend this to anyone who doesn't just listen to music but feels music and analyzes it inside and out.

I was ready to buy the entire M.Ward recording history until I read the official iTunes review of Post War. Is there a cult who actually knows what a "wind blown sonic aesthetic" actually means. The rest of the review also did almost nothing to communicate the nature of the music.

terrible puns aside, this album is arrestingly beautiful. I know many fans find this album inferior to Transfiguration of Vincent, but sometimes the album that you hear first reserves a special place in your memory and cannot be bested. Post-War was my first M Ward album and subsequently I find it just as good as Transfiguration, and worth 5 stars regardless. Favorite songs, To Go Home, Eyes on the Prize, and Chinese Translation.

    M. Ward's album stands out amongst the crowd of accoustic guitar and lyricist due mainly to his near whispering haunting vocals. He captures the love song in a fresh new way. Though Chinese Translation is the golden track, each song hits the heartstrings in perfect tune.

no doubt in my mind that this is best thing i have heard in a year. the album is addicting. Lots of depth and just tremendous tracks. Opening "to go home" is a definite post war song but later on you get to songs like "requiem" which is just flippin amazing. "Magic trick' is just geniously simple, evrything else incredible

An amazing album full of gorgeous and lush arrangements. The whole album is sprawling indie-folk and the sadness of the tunes recall Daniel Johnston (No wonder his cover of "Story of An Artist" is so good) Great tracks include: "Neptunes Net", "Requiem", "Chinese Translation" and "Rollercoaster". The perfect companion piece to the movie 3:10 to Yuma. Wonderful indeed.
