This is my favorite album by Needtobreathe. I like the Christian based message to it. My favorite song is HARD LOVE. My others are HAPPINESS, MONEY & FAME, GREAT NIGHT , DON’T BRING THAT TROUBLE, WHEN I SING and TESTIFY. I know Testify, Happiness and Hard Love because they play them on local Christian stations and on most Christian radios. This is a great album! I like Hard Love about 93 percent the other two versions about 91 percent and 87 percent and 83 percent. I like Happiness about 85 percent since it’s a good song wit a great Christian message to it. But it gets boring after a while but still a amazing song. I like about 90 percent the radio version of Testify and 88 percent regular versions of Testify and the other version is good about 84 percent. And about 82 percent the rest of the album is good about that much and percentage. Even though TESTIFY is slow and boring compared to Hard Love. I like radio versions of songs usually about sixty percent of the time and I like acoustic versions about forty percent of the time. Andra day versions of Hard Love is good about 92 percent. The regular version is my favorite version of the song HARD LOVE and it’s good about it 95 percent. But the reason I like Testify as my second favorite song is because it had a good message of testifying to people about if you come to the fountain of God and believe that he is lord. You will be saved and live forever when you die in heaven. And the fountain of God might seem like a real fountain on earth or in Heaven there is one you drink from probably. But it means figuratively ask for forgiveness and then Testify that Jesus is lord.radio verison of Testify is good about 90 percent and other long radios dit good about 86 percent. The acoustic version of song son here are good about 80 percent and Happiness acoustic verison align with Hard Love acoustic verison is good about 83 percent and Happiness acoustic is good about 81 percent since I’m not used to acoustic songs usually or I don’t usually like them about sixty percent and forty percent not. Live versions are good about 82 percent except verison of Hard Love it’s okay when it live but I prefer radio songs so it’s good the live version of Hard Love is about 84 percent good but I still can’t tolerate the weird sound to it since it’s live with people screaming in it and it sounds different compared to the regular Versions. The fountain is Gods love that is telling people to come tot he fountain and get to know Gods love. And Believe run him. Drinking and coming to the fountian means believing in God. I just like the good Christian message of the song like Hard Love messages too. And it is a nice clam song that sounds interesting. That’s why I like it as my second favorite song on the album. I like Happiness about 88 percent and I like about 85 percent tied wi the regular version of Testify the songs Money and Fame, Don’t bring that trouble, when I sing and Great night. Plus those four songs sound the same about it forty percent and sixty percent not since the lyrics makes it different mostly and only the melody, choruses and sounds of instruments sounds sound similar but the big difference that’s makes it about sixty percent different is the different lyrics. But still amazing album! And I saw them in concert in Anchorage at the state fair it was their first time up in Alaska ever! I was so amazing!!! I like Brother as my favorite song by them. I like the solo radio version about 102 percent my favorite version of the song , the version featuring Gavin Degraw version about 97 since I’m not used to it as much as other versions but a toll sounds closest to radio version, the acoustic version is good about 92 percent, regular is fine but a bit slower and less heavy so it’s fine about 100 percent the hard rock YouTube remix version of Brother is good. I don’t play the hard rock version as much as the radio version since I’m not as used to it even though it’s faster and heavier. I am not sure to it as the radio version that’s why I like radio version slightly more and play it more about sixty percent and forty percent not. Since I like Christian hard rock and metal about 70 percent metal core since it’s the one with the most heavy riffs and most screams, 60 percent I like hard rock in Christian music and 40 percent metal and 30 percent harder rock and eighty percent I like regular Christian rock music. Since my fourth favorite music style is Christian rap and hip hop, second metal and hard rock Christian music, and first favorite style regular Christian rock music such as Needtobreathe and other Christian contemporary music played on Christian regular stations. Since that’s what I her ont he radio station regularly play around most Christian’s. About forty percent only at school and church and own time I play hard rock around people. Sixty percent I play around by myself, church sort of and around Christian’s who don’t like metal. Plus I just usually play a couple ccm songs and Needtobreathe. Since I only listen to metal without parents around. Overall I like as my third style of music movie soundtrack such as Sherlock Holmes movie music and Rocky Rod to Dublin metal and regular combined together since its an interesting style of music. Regular good about 95 percent and Metal verison good about 90 percent since I’m used to the regular version but both are good songs.!original good about 80 percentage. My mom don’t like screaming or hard rock also. Current favorite Christian based rock band right now. I still don’t them as Christian’s because they stil are Christian’s as faith. Good morals about 70 percent, 60 percent Christian music, and 40 percent they make music that is just good sounding clean music that is more secular percent Not really of music. Bit still positive lyrics about 80 percent and 20 percent not . But I do and this album overall Is an excellent album by Needtobreathe!!!
Disgraceful, pure trash

Never have I heard a more shameful cash-in than NEEDTOBREATHE’s Hard Love. They had an accidental hit with “Brother” and when that was successful, it seems like they decided to reinvent themselves and become America’s latest #1 smash, completely eliminating their Southern rock and giving their longterm fans the middle finger. Most of this horror album is slick synthesized pop, complete with drum machines (and in the case of the sleazy Money & Fame, shiny horns and random screeching saxophone solos). The title track is nothing more than a soccer mom anthem, and Great Night is a poor attempt at blues-rock, something they could’ve done well in older albums but couldn’t anymore, since they chose to become wannabe pop hitmakers. When I Sing, Don’t Bring That Trouble, Testify, No Excuses and Happiness are nothing more than excuses for airplay and high profile headliner bait. The only tracks of any worth are Be Here Long and Clear, Let’s Stay Home would’ve been among them had it not been for the well-intentioned but awkwardly written lyrics. And those would’ve been the worst songs on NTB’s other albums. Plus, Bear Reinhardt decided to alter his voice to fit the pop style, mutilating the soulfulness he had had and coming off as a nasally weasel at times. There was nothing natural about Hard Love, in either the instrumentation or the sound, nor in the makeover they were gunning for. To this day it stands as NTB’s lowest point, and one of the absolute worst albums I have ever heard. If you love them, avoid this album at all costs.

ive heard NTB on the radio before, and fell in love with their beats and lyrics. But this album is disappointing. I understand how theyre trying to attract more people, but i dont think that should be their goal in life. Let's Stay Home Tonight was disappointing from a Christian Artist. Honestly, if i was given the opportunity to have a career like this, i would spend it glorifying God with everything in me. i guess these guys missed their mark. I hope they can re-focus, but no plans for buying more NTB in the near or distant future. sorry :)

Soooo good - production is exceptional! - I liek eveyr song - each one full of soul and cleverness - and endless medloic hooks. So far, no one A+ song for me - but it is still a 5 star release.
LOVE IT!!!!!

Needtobreathe will always be my favorite band, and I love that they are not afraid to write what they feel and try out different sounds, cause, lets be honest, they rock all of it! So much heart and time goes into their music!
It’s not a negative message people

I’ve read some reviews about people saying it’s more negative than other albums. Yeah it’s called life.... just because you are a Christian doesn’t mean you won’t have a down period or experience adversity. Wake up people and really listen to the lyrics. Sometimes you need to tap into mainstream to get other people to listen to some powerful messages and maybe change a few lives along the way.
Amazing

All around best album they have written. No song is better than the other.
I've given it a chance, but it's a no for me.

Every other NEEDTOBREATHE release has been played over and over and over by me. I just can't get into their overly produced sound in Hard Love. I've owned this album since the release, and I'd guess that I've listened to it less than 10 times. These guys have such raw talent in their musicality- their voices & harmony. Their more acoustic shows are the best. I wished they didn't feel the need to "expand" on the sound they produce when their unique, previous sound was what made them stand out and drew in many of us old time fans.
