I am a huge fan so I am baised toward Rick. This album is some of the very best 80s pop/rock ever made. Jesssie's Girl is his overall best song. The little rift that opens the song is some of the most well known pop rock ever written. This is well worth the price. Get it and listen up. Love is alright tonite is great. the Sammy Hagar written, I've Done Everything For You is awesome rock. Carry Me Away and the Light of Love are both solid songs too.

This album has the hit 'Jessie's Girl' but don't let the fool you. Rick Springfield has so much more talent and hits but this album is a great start. You'll love it if you love 80's music!

After watching "Sound City", I never knew the struggles Rick went through to get his music out there. After he recorded this album at the famous recording studio Sound City, everything else is history. He became a phenomenon overnight. 'Til this day, he's rocking and still touring, recently with Foo Fighters in the Sound City Players Tour (which I saw him live at the Hammerstein Ballroom). He is an amazing person and this album is overall amazing.

Jessie's Girl is the standout track, and the demo is great. One of the songs that encompasses the feeling of the 80's. :)

Wow,The batteries I went through with my Walkman, rewinding a particular song from this album that had bit me at the time. This is a transporter to my younger years, every song brings me back. Every song? Well, with a tape, you either a), heard the whole thing through, or b), rewind alot, which ment buying alot of batteries for the walkman!! We dont think of how much we changed the way we listen to a record or tape, vs a CD, or MP3. Many of these song will grow on ya if ya give em a listen or 2 8)
