I love breaking Benjamin but I’m not going to fanboy over this just because it’s them. The song is uninspired, I’m pretty sure Keith wallen wrote this song. Hopefully the rest of the album is better.

To the people leaving their disgusting comments, go back to your Nickelback and Five Flavored Fruit Punch bands and quit trying to hate. This song, while a little similar, is both brutal and beautiful! I'd like to see some of these haters write better material!!! If Breaking Ben changed even more out of their wheelhouse, these people would still leave negative comments. I think its a fantastic song! Dont be swayed by the haters everyone! Support good bands and buy their singles, merch or what have you because Spotify isnt paying them, we are!!!!

Breaking Benjamin is one of those bands that no matter how long I sleep on them, I can always come back comfortably and still feel surprised by them.
Awaken is the perfect example of that. It’s beautiful and has a lot of emotion and heart behind it. That shredding guitar solo is 👌🫠
I’m glad BB is back and I can’t wait to hear more.
