I always did say that Sammy was much, MUCH better on his own as opposed to all that Van Hagar trash (he wrote and sang like he was severely reigned in by imagined commercial needs, which I place solely at the feet of Eddie for leashing him).
This album proves it!
On his own, he is so much more unbridled and energetic that you'd swear that the "Sammy" in Van Hagar was a wannabe lookalike! The exact same Sammy I always remembered before all that nonsense who did such hot classics as "Heavy Metal" is present here in all his raging glory! And who can resist a song like "I Can't Drive 55"?
A MUST!

One of those albums that you can crank from beginning to end. You can easily hear why Hagar was picked to replace the some thought irreplaceable David Lee Roth to front Van Halen. Fave songs are 55, Rock In My Blood and Don’t Make Me Wait.

There is no weak songs on this album and I can’t drive 55 is not even the best song on this album!sammy is in top form
